Hair Extensions Training Program

NVQ Hairdressing Level 3 - Optional Unit H23

African Caribbean Hairdressing

The Hair Extension Program is designed to incorporate all areas of extension methods as specified in the City and Guilds NVQ3 standards. We therefore cover all of the following methods

Sewing
Plaiting
Fusing
Bonding

Students will learn the correct tools to both apply and remove extensions, the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and the proper methods for care and maintenance of hair extensions.

Please note the following facts:

All Crown Academy of Hair Extension courses include the following areas of training

Consultation
Health and Safety
Allergy/Skin Testing
Cutting and Styling of Hair Extensions
Explaining 'Shedding'
Washing Process
Aftercare of Hair Extensions
Cutting and sealing of Braids (where applicable )

Comprehensive Training Manuals are provided for all courses and as stated above all trainees will sit end of unit tests as part of the qualification requirements.

Tool kits will be provided prior to the commencement of the course.

For Advanced Certification courses tool kits will be supplied for training purposes only.
For Latch Hook Weaving participants require knowledge of cornrows

With a minimum of three students, or for courses valued at £1000 and above, Crown Academy are able to provide you with in-Salon training at your own location within the UK.

Continuous Professional Development - CPD

NVQ Hair dressing Level 3 - Optional Unit H23 [Duration 32 hours]

CPD is aimed at training institutions and the price structure is designed to allow colleges to take advantages of the following packages:

A four day intensive course with a minimum of three students costs £1300 per student. Single modules fees are £500 per student. All bookings require a minimum of 15% deposit to secure a placement

ICE Extensions Training

Initial cost including training plus kit is £150 inclusive of VAT. Cost per kit only is £85 inclusive of VAT.

ICE Kits have a large profit margin
The ICE kit is priced @ £73.92 + VAT @ £11.08 = £85.00 total.
With this you can do the following:
- ICE Micro Wefts
  1 x ICE kit can do up to 8 full head of extensions @ £350 each (recommended charge) therefore revenue of
  £350 x 8 = £2,800
  At a cost price of £85.00 thus making a profit of £2,715.00
  Or charge as little as £150 per client and still make a profit of £1,115.00
- ICE Micro Strands
  1 x ICE Kit can do up to 4 full heads @ £350 each (recommended charge) therefore revenue of £350 x 4 = £1,400
  At a cost price of £85.00 thus making a profit of £1,315.00

African Caribbean Hairdressing

If you are already qualified up to NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing you can take our African Caribbean Hairdressing course and learn the latest skills in Afro hair.
